LG 3D TV Endorsed by UK Sky TV
Korean LCD manufacturer LG has won an endorsement from Sky TV, the UKs satellite TV provider and main 3D TV advocates, thanks to its forthcoming product range.
LG’s, flicker free range of LW6500 LCD TVs will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this month but has already created much hype in the UK thanks to the endorsement by SKY 3D TV.
Viewers still need to use 3D glasses when watching the new LW6500 devices, but they are lighter and flicker free, thanks to their unique new technology.
At CES (LG will be displaying 42in, 47in, 55in and 65in versions of the LW6500
Call for Better Content to Help Further DOOH industry
CEO of market leaders in out of home advertising, JCDecaux, has called for content providers to be more creative to take advantage of the unique benefits of digital signage.
Jeremy Male, speaking at a breakfast meeting where he announced a doubling of JCDecaux’s 6 sheet inventory across the UK for 2011, also said that in the world of Dooh, more than 65% or current campaigns were developed for older media. He suggested that content providers needed to get away from ‘just selling posters’ and start to utilise real-time messaging and news as the best way to reach large audiences.
